This sturdy umbrella has been great for our patio which is southwest facing. Easy to put up and take down. Great shade for the patio and the adjacent patio window. Color seems to be maintaining well. The only downside: the cord attached to the zipper of the cover was weak and disintegrated within a few months. I can still use the zipper, but it is a bit more difficult as the cord is now non-existent.

This is a BIG parasol.The metal structure is high quality. The fabric is ok. It does not feel like a marine cloth, so we will have to see how colorfast it is in practice. It was delivered quickly, and was very easy to assemble. It comes with a protective sheath.That said, you will need a heavy base. This is a very large parasol that catches all but the gentlest of breezes. They recommend a minimum of 220lbs or a fixed base. This seems right to me. These bases are not cheap, so factor that into your total spend.Choose your base with care. The pedal for allowing rotation is low, and most bases will interfere with its use. We chose a ‘fill with sand and water’ base that has a cutout for pedals, but it still does not allow enough clearance, so we have to pull the base plates out a bit, turn the canopy, then push the plates back in. It’s a small matter, but we have had other similar canopy with better pedal / base clearance.In our experience the parasol has two useable positions: parallel to the ground, and first click which is about 20 degrees to the ground. After that, the size of the canopy and the fact that it hangs so it can move, makes it a bit too unwieldy.We needed a parasol quickly. This met that need and the quality is good. Had we had more time, I suspect we could have found still higher quality for the price.

Very happy with the purchase. We got this set up just in time for the 4th of July weekend! This is a huge umbrella 10' x 13', providing a lot of shade needed, yet it is super easy to operate. I am a petite woman, even I can raise and lower the umbrella easily (the tilt angle changes with the lock in height).Because of its size, I strongly recommend to get the base as well. Installation will take 2 people since it's heavy. But the instruction video on Amazon is super helpful and super easy to follow.It is very sturdy and matches the product images and descriptions well. I picked the beige color because it is pretty and it weathers better generally.Now I need to get some lounge chairs so I can lie down and read books outside under the nice shade, or even on a rainy day too. Loving it.

Horrible, doesn't work and broke after a week!

Easy to assemble. I opted to mount it to my deck. I purchased two 8" round 1/4" steel plates, drilled the 4 holes, painted them black and used coated carriage bolts the fasten to a beefed area of the deck. One plate at the base and the other underneath. No need for giant 200 lbs base. I would like to know what wind rating this umbrella has since it will sway a little in a breeze. I'm not going to have it up in 30 mph wins so I think I'm good to go.
